Casual Relief Teachers

We are seeking talented Casual Relief Teachers to deliver curriculum material provided for the class, and to provide a duty of care to students in the absence of the regular teacher. This main responsibility is to be fulfilled in a manner which is consistent with the mission, vision, values and expectations of the College. 

Skills and experience

Successful candidates will have formal teaching qualifications, teacher’s registration with the Queensland College of Teachers and relevant experience as a school teacher.

Outside School Hours Care Educators

We are seeking talented and committed Educators to join our outstanding Outside School Hours Care team. They will be assisting with delivery of the quality education program and practice, providing direct supervision and supporting all children to participate in the program. The position is on a casual basis and hours will vary. Shifts include Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care. 

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will 

  • Hold a positive notice (Working with Children Check) Queensland Blue Card;
  • Hold an AQF Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent or higher qualification, or the ability to acquire;
  • Have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place Framework and the National Law/Regulations;

Expression of Interest in Teaching Positions 2022

Freshwater Christian College invites Primary and Secondary teachers to submit an Expression of Interest for a teaching position commencing at the start of the 2022 Academic year. 

Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Hold relevant teaching qualifications;  
  • Hold, or the have the ability to acquire prior to commencement, Queensland College of Teachers Registration;
  • Be able to sign and abide by the College’s Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Statement;

Primary Administration Officer 2022

Freshwater Christian College invites applications for a part-time (2 days per week during school terms) administration officer commencing in January 2022. 

About the role

The Primary Admin Officer provides quality administrative and customer service support to the Deputy Principal/Head of Primary school office servicing staff, students, and parents. 

Commencing in January 2022, this position is permanent part-time, 2 days per week during school terms and staff professional development weeks. 

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing all incoming enquiries to the Primary office (phone, email or face-to-face);
  • Providing support to the PA to the Deputy Principal/Head of Primary as required; 
  • Assist with the organisation of school excursions, camps, sports carnivals, assessment planners, buses, awards ceremonies, parent/teacher interviews, and other events;
  • Process students absences, monitor roll marking and follow up students with unexplained absences; 
  • Assisting with the preparation of correspondence, notices, newsletters. 

Skills and experience include

  • Hold or be able to obtain a Qld Working with Children Check ‘Blue Card’;
  • Demonstrated skills in both written and oral communication, including telephone reception skills; 
  • Demonstrated ability to work across a wide range of tasks and to prioritise in a busy environment; 
  • Ability to work with all members of the College community; 
  • Ability to use the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level; 
  • Experience in an office environment;
