About the role 

Freshwater Christian College is seeking a highly talented and creative Secondary School Music teacher. This position is permanent part time position, 4 days per week (0.8 FTE). 

Skills and experience

Managing the Primary office, the PA to the Deputy Principal/Head of Primary provides quality administrative and customer service support to the Primary school staff, students, and parents. 

Commencing in January 2023, this position is permanent, full-time. 

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing the Primary office’s day-to-day operations, including overseeing the activities of the Primary Admin Officer;
  • Coordinating Awards ceremonies, parent/teacher interviews, and other events;
  • Assisting with the preparation of correspondence, notices, and newsletters. 

Skills and experience include

  • Hold or be able to obtain a Qld Working with Children Check ‘Blue Card’;
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship, communication, and customer service skills;
  • Attention to detail;

Secondary Learning Support Coordinator

We are seeking a highly talented and committed Teacher to manage the Secondary Learning Support operations of the College. You will promote inclusive education and intervention strategies for students from Years 7 to 12, that will improve their educational outcomes. 

This position will be permanent part-time, 3 days per week, commencing January 2023.  

Key Responsibilities include

  • Promote inclusive education in a supportive College environment;
  • Administer the EAP process of verification of students with disabilities and facilitate the collection and collation of data for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD);
  • Support the enrolment process for students who are identified with disabilities or difficulties; 
  • Work with College leadership to ensure a whole College approach to planning and documenting adjustments for students with diverse learning needs (NCCD);
  • Facilitate collaborative teaching and planning for all students who require adjustments to the curriculum and learning environment;
  • Administer and review diagnostic assessments to inform teaching and learning;
  • Plan and implement support strategies;
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching programs for students with diverse learning needs in conjunction with classroom teachers, support staff, parents, and carers;
  • Assist teachers in developing, modifying, and adjusting assessment tasks to reflect the needs of identified students.
  • Lead a team of support staff to understand and effectively carry out role expectations and responsibilities;

About the role

The Primary Admin Officer provides quality administrative and customer service support to the Deputy Principal/Head of Primary school office servicing staff, students, and parents. 

Commencing in January 2023, this position is permanent part-time, 2 days per week (Mondays and Fridays) during school terms and staff professional development weeks. 

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing all incoming enquiries to the Primary office (phone, email, or face-to-face);
  • Providing support to the PA to the Deputy Principal/Head of Primary as required; 
  • Assist with the organisation of school excursions, camps, sports carnivals, assessment planners, buses, awards ceremonies, parent/teacher interviews, and other events;
  • Process student’s absences, monitor roll marking, and follow up with students with unexplained absences; 
  • Assisting with the preparation of correspondence, notices, and newsletters. 

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated skills in both written and oral communication, including telephone reception skills;

The College Board seeks a Business Manager whose Christian faith informs their professional practice. The successful applicant will be a suitably qualified CPA/CA and have the ability to provide strategic and operational financial leadership for the effective administration and day-to-day management of Freshwater Christian College by:

  • Working with the Principal as part of the College Executive and other stakeholders to implement financial changes within the College
  • Keeping within the financial budgets and adhering to best practice, policies, processes, and legislation
  • Developing financial structures which support and enhance the educational aims of the College

Outside School Hours Care Educators

We are seeking talented and committed Educators to join our outstanding Outside School Hours Care team. They will be assisting with delivery of the quality education program and practice, providing direct supervision and supporting all children to participate in the program. The position is on a casual basis and hours will vary. Shifts include Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care.
