Our Transition Kindergarten program is designed to make this experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible, laying a solid foundation for lifelong learning.

Our program is structured to support children as they move from home or early childcare into a more structured yet nurturing learning environment. By bridging the gap between early childhood education and primary school, we help children develop the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to thrive in their schooling years.

Our Play-Based Learning & Bush Kindy

We know that young children learn best through play. Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning through engaging, hands-on activities. From exploring our expansive nature playground to participating in creative arts and music sessions, our Kindy Kids are encouraged to discover, imagine, and grow.

Through play-based learning, children develop essential skills such as problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and creativity. Whether they’re building sandcastles, painting masterpieces, or engaging in group storytelling, they’re learning in ways that feel natural and exciting.

One of the highlights of our Transition Kindergarten is the Bush Kindy program. Twice a week during Terms 2 and 3, our children venture into the natural bushland and creek areas on our beautiful campus. Rain or shine, these outdoor sessions provide opportunities for exploration, problem-solving, and developing a deep connection with the environment.

Nature play has been proven to enhance cognitive function, encourage resilience, and improve overall well-being. Our Bush Kindy program allows children to climb, dig, observe wildlife, and interact with their surroundings in a way that promotes independence and confidence. It’s amazing what a little mud and fresh air can do for a child’s development!

Preparing for the Next Step

Transitioning to Prep is a significant milestone. Our program includes activities that familiarise children with the routines and expectations of primary school. Weekly chapel sessions with the Junior Primary School, library visits, and participation in school events like Book Week and sports carnivals help our Kindy Kids feel part of the broader school community, making the move to Prep less daunting.

We also focus on foundational literacy and numeracy skills through fun and interactive lessons. By the time children move into Prep, they are comfortable with structured learning, making new friends, and adapting to a school setting.
