The Great Wheelbarrow Race 2023

Go ‘Freshie Flyers’!

Each year FCC trains a team of ten Year 12 students to compete in the Great Wheelbarrow Race from Mareeba to Chillagoe. The race spans a distance of around 140 km over three days. 

The team is drawn from a group of hopefuls, some with and some without athletic prowess. 

We invite you to be a part of our success in 2023 by becoming a sponsorship partner of our team. By becoming a sponsor, you will be a part of a focus point for the life of our school community. Your business will be promoted prior to and during the event and also through the College community.

Sponsorship opportunities exist currently for this event giving businesses the platform to market their organisation, goods and services to Far North QLD at the Great Wheelbarrow Race and our local College community. We have three sponsorship packages available.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsorship options are available:

• Platinum Level Sponsorship in the amount of $1000 includes:

• Logos on team shirts worn at race
• Logos on the bus travelling in the race and transporting the team to Mareeba (large size)
• Presentation of Team shirts
• Invitation to our Launch night
• Social media marketing on our Facebook and Instagram pages
• Exposure in our College newsletter
